A disillusioned spy, Richard, decides to leave his profession after his wife Angela leaves him due to his line of work. He fakes his own death with the help of his friend and boss Tony Cooper, who arranges a plastic surgery to alter his appearance. However, a year later, Richard learns that the doctor and Tony are dead, leading him to suspect that someone is trying to target him or flush him out. He becomes increasingly paranoid, fearing that Angela may be in danger next.
