Biography

Jameson Parker, a renowned actor, is most famously associated with his captivating portrayal of A.J. Simon on the long-running CBS television series Simon & Simon, which aired for a remarkable eight seasons.

Born in Baltimore, Parker's early life was marked by a unique upbringing, as his father's career in foreign service enabled him to travel extensively throughout Europe, exposing him to a diverse array of cultures and experiences. Furthermore, Parker's childhood was punctuated by frequent changes in educational institutions, as he attended an astonishing ten different boarding schools over the course of just thirteen years, and was even expelled from two of them.

Following a year-long hiatus, during which he honed his craft by acting and working behind the scenes at the prestigious Arena Stage in Washington, D.C., Parker returned to complete his degree in theater arts from Beloit College in 1972.

After graduating, Parker relocated to New York City, where he initially gained recognition through a commercial for a breath mint, a breakthrough that ultimately led to his role on the NBC soap opera Somerset in 1970. This role, in turn, paved the way for a two-year stint on the ABC soap One Life to Live, which began in 1968.

Parker eventually made the move to Los Angeles in 1980, and has since become known for his versatility and dedication to his craft. When not working, Parker can often be found indulging in his love of camping and hunting, activities that provide him with a much-needed respite from the demands of his profession.
