In the movie, Coach Duke Goulding pushes his white boarding school basketball team to win, but his own son Hugo feels underappreciated despite his hard work and skills. When the coach awards the best player trophy to his black teammate Odin, Hugo's jealousy grows. He decides to take revenge by sabotaging the boys who he feels stole his glory, using their weaknesses and pride against them.
