In 1944, a British geologist on a crucial D-Day reconnaissance mission is captured by the Germans. A five-woman task force is formed to rescue him, led by Lieutenant Pierre Desfontaines. The group, consisting of a prostitute, an explosives expert, a former dancer, and an Italian agent, are successful in their mission, but their commander betrays them, forcing them to undertake a perilous mission to kill a German colonel in Paris.
