In 1969 Hong Kong, three detectives, Director, Fugu, and Sam, live and work together in their spacious office-apartment. Their normal routine is disrupted when Fugu brings home a magic lamp and some antiques after a confrontation with thieves. He wishes to marry his cousin Jane, then leaves for the US, unaware that a friendly witch named Harmy BoBo emerges from the lamp, seeking to grant wishes.
