A heartwarming film celebrates the unbreakable bond between a young girl and her grandmother, highlighting their shared love of cooking and cultural traditions, and the power of food to bring people together and preserve family heritage.

In downtown Mexico City, a family-owned restaurant called El Molcajete, specializing in traditional Mexican cuisine, struggles to maintain its roots. After the death of her daughter, the owner's grandmother, Tere, loses her passion for cooking and stops working at the restaurant. Her granddaughter Maria is determined to revive Tere's passion and restore the restaurant's traditional recipes, while the chef, Rosi, introduces modern twists to the menu, threatening to erase the culinary heritage.
