A troupe of traveling performers, specializing in a fake hanging act, receives an invitation to perform at a mysterious Count Drago's castle. Tensions rise when the harlequin is fired and replaced by a former officer, Eric. As they approach the castle, they encounter an eerie old woman who warns them that some will meet their demise. Upon arrival, they discover a room filled with seemingly stuffed birds, only to be confronted by the enigmatic Count Drago.
