In Albuquerque, a family of three navigates their complicated lives after the loss of their mother at a young age. The eldest, Rose, takes on a responsible role, working as a housecleaner and raising her 7-year-old son Oscar. She also rekindles an affair with her high school sweetheart, Mac, a married cop.
