Jackson Pollock, a prominent abstract expressionist, is featured in Life magazine in the late 1940s. The film flashes back to 1941, showing Pollock struggling with addiction and insecurity, living in a small New York City apartment with his brother. He meets Lee Krasner, a talented artist who puts her career on hold to support him, and they eventually move to the Hamptons, where Pollock finds inspiration and sobriety. However, his demons ultimately consume him, leading to a tragic end.
