Bob Conroy, a notorious outlaw, arrives in Santa Fe with his partner Buckshot after robbing a bank in Red Bluff. When offered the job of Marshal, Bob initially declines, but his change of heart comes when he sees his name engraved on the badge. As Marshal, Bob proves to be a capable lawman, taking down an outlaw gang and their corrupt cattle buyer leader. However, their partner from the Red Bluff heist shows up, threatening to expose Bob and Buckshot as wanted men.
