Donald's peaceful evening is disrupted by a series of minor irritations. Initially, an open window shade allows a flashing sign's light to disturb his rest. Later, a persistently dripping faucet keeps him awake, despite his attempts to ignore it. Frustrated, Donald builds a Rube Goldberg contraption to silence the faucet, only to receive a call from his water company, informing him that his unpaid bill will result in his water being cut off.
