Disco Beaver from Outer Space background

Disco Beaver from Outer Space

A scathing examination of the excesses and irrationality of modern TV series.

National Lampoon's spoof of late night channel surfing, where a couple constantly switches TV channels and comments on the programs they see. The movie features a series of hilarious parodies, including "Disco Beaver from Outer Space", a send-up of cheap sci-fi movies about a disco-loving beaver from space searching for wood; "Dragula", a horror movie spoof about a "hemosexual" vampire visiting a small town; and a trailer for a movie about Pope John Paul II's laundry accident. The film also includes sketches about a girl's addiction to Perrier, a review of a country music performance, and a raunchy game show. As the movie progresses, the different sketches begin to blend together in unexpected ways.
