A psychotic religious killer, Whitman, is caught by Inspector Morell, a former seminarian, due to his religious knowledge. After being tried and sentenced to death, Whitman is rescued by a secret government group that wants to turn him into an assassin. He escapes and targets those who tried to stop his mission, including the jury, judge, and district attorney, who is also Morell's ex-wife.
