Zsolt Bács is a multifaceted creative professional, hailing from Budapest, Hungary. Prior to pursuing a career in the entertainment industry, he spent five years studying medicine at a prestigious institution. However, his passion for acting eventually led him to switch gears and focus on his artistic endeavors.
He went on to graduate from the esteemed European Film Actors School, where he honed his craft. Subsequently, he appeared in a plethora of TV shows, theatrical feature films, and stage plays, with a staggering total of over 120 credits to his name.
Since 1996, Zsolt has penned more than 20 screenplays for both television and cinema, showcasing his versatility as a writer. His directorial career commenced in 2006 with the poignant comedy, 'Esperanza', which premiered as the opening feature at the prestigious Berlinale International Film Festival.
Bács co-produced and wrote the award-winning thriller, 'Slave', and received critical acclaim for his supporting role in the film, earning the "Best Supporting Actor" award at the New York Film Festival NYCIFF.
Throughout his illustrious career, he has directed an impressive array of projects, including over 150 serial episodes for German television, numerous TV commercials, and an adaptation of the bestselling novel 'The Child' (2012),featuring an impressive German and international cast.
His latest endeavor, 'Snowdancer', is a UK/German co-production based on a true story set in 1940s Germany. The project is currently in funding and is being co-produced by Bedlam Production, known for 'The King's Speech', and Tempest Film, which produced 'Narziss und Goldmund'.
