Zoe Trilling, born Geralyn Marie Betzler, was born in Wausau, Wisconsin to Larry and Phoebe Betzler. At the tender age of 18, she made the bold decision to leave her hometown in Minnesota and relocate to the City of Angels, Los Angeles, California, with the ambitious goal of pursuing a career in acting and dance.
To support herself during this transitional period, Zoe took on a series of jobs, including working at a local bakery and establishing a distributorship for a small fresh juice company, which would later evolve into the well-known Naked Juice brand. In addition to her entrepreneurial endeavors, Zoe also taught Aerobics at various studios, including the prestigious Jane Fonda's.
Concurrently, Zoe enrolled in acting and ballet classes, further honing her skills and preparing herself for a career in the performing arts. Her hard work and dedication eventually led to her big break in the entertainment industry.
Zoe's acting career began in 1985, with a series of TV roles, including a part as Lacey Bauer in the long-running TV series Guiding Light, which premiered in 1952, and a memorable appearance in the iconic film Girls Just Want to Have Fun, starring the talented Helen Hunt.
Throughout her illustrious career, Zoe continued to land guest roles in TV series and theater productions in both Los Angeles and New York. She is perhaps most famous for her roles in horror productions, including the Tobe Hooper film Night Terrors, in which she played the captivating role of Genie, and Night of the Demons 2, in which she portrayed the eerie character of Shirley.
After leaving the film industry, Zoe transitioned into a successful career as a choreographer at American ballroom in New York City, as well as a yoga instructor and personal trainer in both New York and Los Angeles. Her life was marked by a passion for the arts, a dedication to her craft, and a commitment to staying physically and mentally fit.
Sadly, Zoe Trilling passed away on September 8, 2023, in Vista, California, leaving behind a legacy of her remarkable achievements and the countless lives she touched through her work.
