Zanny Begg is a multifaceted artist and filmmaker who crafts captivating stories that delve into intricate and multifaceted themes. Her remarkable achievements include winning the prestigious Best Director award at the Melbourne Documentary Film Festival in 2023, as well as securing the 66th Blake Prize Established Artist Residency in 2021, the ACCA Open Commission in 2020, the inaugural ACMI and Artbank film commission in 2018, the Incinerator Art Award, Art for Social Change in 2016, and the Terrence and Lynnette Fern Cite Residency in Paris in 2016.
Furthermore, Zanny has been awarded artist residencies in esteemed institutions worldwide, including Barcelona, Hong Kong, Yogyakarta, and Chicago.
