Biography

Zair Montes is a multifaceted actress, producer, and writer who has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry. She began her career as an actress, taking on various roles in TV, theatre, and films across Latin America.

Montes' early work includes her performance in the Venezuelan award-winning film "La Clase" in 2007 and her supporting role in the Colombian satirical comedy "Carrusel" in 2011. The same year, she appeared in the MTV-produced TV series "Popland".

In 2014, Montes produced and starred in the American feature film "Habana Instant", a drama that premiered at the Montreal World Film Festival and won the Innovation Award and Ecumenical Award. She also produced the horror movie "Havana Darkness" in 2016, which was shot on location in both New York and Havana.

Montes' subsequent projects include her role in the New York film "Respite" in 2018, for which she won the Best Supporting Actress award at the Golden Door International Film Festival in 2020. She also wrote and produced her first theatre play, "The Flowers", which premiered in New York City and won four Latin American Theater Awards.

In 2019, Montes adapted "The Flowers" into a TV series, which she produced and starred in. The series premiered on Amazon Prime in September 2020. She also produced the film "How I Got There?" starring Ron Perlman that same year.
