Next to an apple orchard in a small town outside of Albany, New York, Yvonne grew up surrounded by the beauty of nature. She is one of six children born to an Italian hairdresser father and an Irish mother who managed a pediatrician's office. If her family were the Brady Bunch, then she would definitely be Marcia, the charming and beautiful eldest sister.
With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Adelphi University and a Master's degree from the University at Albany, Yvonne has always been committed to honing her craft. She has also had the opportunity to train at prestigious institutions such as The American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco and The Royal National Theatre in London. Furthermore, she has received extensive training in Intimacy Direction for both stage and screen.
Throughout her career, Yvonne has traveled extensively between gigs and has raised two daughters whom she and her husband Mark adopted from China. Her early success in the 1990s included winning the first Soap Opera Award for Outstanding Female Newcomer in Daytime for her role as "Rosanna" on As The World Turns.
In addition to her acting work, Yvonne has also had a successful career as a corporate spokeswoman, drawing on her teenage enthusiasm for beauty pageants. She is equally comfortable in front of a green screen as she is in a voice-over booth. When not working, Yvonne enjoys hiking in the Adirondacks, sewing quilts out of old blue jeans, growing tomatoes in her garden, and baking legendary pies.
Yvonne is a dedicated member of her community, serving as Chair of the Greater Albany Area Liaison for Actors' Equity (2020) and as an Artistic Associate at Capital Repertory Theatre. She also teaches and directs at several upstate colleges. Despite her many commitments, Yvonne still finds time to watch her colleagues perform, whether on stage in New York City, the Berkshires, or the Capital Region, or on a soundstage in Los Angeles or Atlanta. Watching her peers bring characters to life is one of her greatest joys.
