Morishita Yuuri, a renowned entertainer, was born in Hachioji, Tokyo, a city renowned for its picturesque hiking trails and breathtaking views of the metropolis. As the youngest sibling, she was raised alongside her two older brothers in the same city. Later, she spent her formative years in Saitama Prefecture, where her father originated from, until her family relocated to Hiroshima.
Yuuri's academic journey took her to a Protestant Christian school in Hiroshima, where she spent six years before graduating. Her higher education led her to Atomi University in Tokyo, where she discovered her passion for the entertainment industry. She began her career as a model, gravure idol, and race queen in 2003, adopting the stage name Akagi Maiko. Initially, she had envisioned a career as a flight attendant.
Yuuri joined Nasa Entertainment and worked as a club hostess in Tokyo before being represented by Asche. Throughout her illustrious career, she has accumulated a collection of over half a dozen photo books, showcased her stage presence, and appeared in numerous publications. In June 2017, she tied the knot with Murakami Naoya, subsequently putting her gravure work on hold. The following year, she welcomed a baby girl into her family.
