His journey began with a remarkable debut in 2000, courtesy of the sports comedy "The Iron Ladies". This groundbreaking film, based on a true story, revolves around a volleyball team comprising gay and transgender men. The movie's success was meteoric, garnering numerous accolades in Thailand and at prestigious film festivals.
Some of the notable awards and recognition include the Thailand National Film Association Awards and a special mention Teddy Award at the 2001 Berlin Film Festival. Building on this success, Yongyoot went on to direct the sequel, "The Iron Ladies 2", in 2003.
