Born in Austria, Yelda Reynaud, also known as Yelda Kaymakci Reynaud, embarked on her film acting career in 1998 with the German-Turkish-Swiss production "YARA" (The Wound),directed by Yilmaz Arslan, which premiered at the prestigious International Venice Film Festival and garnered her the best actress award at the International Mar del Plata Film Festival, as well as numerous other accolades.
Her career path has been marked by an eclectic range of projects, including powerful dramas such as "Anlat Istanbul" (Istanbul Tales),which earned her the best actress award at the International Istanbul Film Festival, as well as action-packed television series like the Turkish adaptation of "Behind bars", titled "Parmakliklar Ardinda".
Yelda Reynaud has collaborated with numerous prominent Turkish film directors, including Fatih Akin on the critically acclaimed film "Auf der anderen Seite des Lebens" (The Edge of Heaven). In addition to her acting work, she has also served as a jury member at the Istanbul Film Festival and the Antalya Film Festival.
A passionate polyglot, Yelda Reynaud is also the founder of Basibozuk Film, and her feature debut as a director is the film "Inan Caddesi" (Inan Avenue).
