Yannis Sakaridis, a renowned filmmaker, made a significant impact in the industry with his critically acclaimed film "Amerika Square" in 2016, which garnered numerous international awards and was chosen as Greece's official entry for the Academy Awards. Before establishing himself as a director, Sakaridis honed his skills as a film editor, working primarily in London on an impressive seventeen award-winning feature films and numerous documentaries for British television. After spending eighteen years in London, he returned to his hometown of Athens, where he wrote and directed the award-winning short film "Truth" in 2006.
