Yannick Choirat's early life was marked by his parents' professions, his father being a railroad worker and his mother a teacher. This upbringing likely influenced his future pursuits, as he went on to study theater at Vaugelas High School in Chambéry, where he earned a baccalaureate in the A3 department.
Following his high school education, Choirat moved to Paris to continue his studies at the Sorbonne Nouvelle Institute. In addition to his academic pursuits, he also took theater lessons from the renowned Véra Gregh - Tania Balachova.
After completing his education, Choirat worked for five years under the direction of Bernard Grosjean at the Theater-Forum company, which specialized in interactive social awareness theater. During this time, he traveled to various locations, including French high schools, prisons, dormitories for young workers, and hospitals, performing for diverse audiences.
In 2018, Choirat starred in the series "Victor Hugo," which was broadcast on France 2 and directed by the Council of State. His portrayal of the character was a result of meticulous preparation, involving extensive reading and documentation about the character, as well as a physical transformation, including weight gain and hair growth.
Choirat's hard work and dedication paid off, as he won the award for best interpretation at the La Rochelle Festival in 2019, as well as the Luchon Festival.
