Mexican Filmmaker and producer, born and raised in Mexico City in 1990, has had a lifelong passion for the film industry, which has been evident since his early years.
He pursued his interest in acting and direction by studying at the renowned Sanford Meisner Center in Los Angeles, California, where he honed his skills in the craft. Additionally, he expanded his knowledge in music composition by attending Fermatta College of Music in Mexico, further broadening his creative horizons.
As a young actor, Yago began his journey in the film industry, eventually transitioning to directing music videos and television commercials for prominent international brands. This experience has not only polished his skills but also given him a unique understanding of the industry.
Recently, Yago premiered his debut feature film, "Paper Boats," at the prestigious Art Of Brooklyn Film Festival, where he was honored with the awards for Best Director and Best Feature Film. Furthermore, he received the Best Feature Award at the HBO'S New York Latino Film Festival, solidifying his position as a rising talent in the film world.
"Paper Boats" has received widespread recognition, being named an Official Selection at several prominent film festivals. These include the New Vision International Film Festival in the Netherlands, where it was awarded Best Latin American Film, as well as the Guanajuato International Film Festival and the Los Angeles Indie Film Festival.
