William Wesley's cinematic journey commenced during his time in the US Army, where he honed his skills by directing both documentaries and training films. Following his military service, Wesley pursued his passion for the performing arts by attending Florida International University, where he majored in theatre. This marked the beginning of his feature film career, which kicked off with the critically acclaimed and chilling low-budget zombie horror film "Scarecrows". This initial success was followed by his direction of the "The Maker" episode of the popular anthology TV series "Monsters".
In addition to his work behind the camera, Wesley also held a position as a story development executive for Nightfall Films, a company that operated under a "housekeeping deal" with Trimark Pictures. After a 13-year hiatus from directing feature films, Wesley made a triumphant return to the industry with the thrilling "danger on the road" living dead film "Route 666".
Born in Cuba, Wesley's family relocated to the United States when he was just three years old, settling in New York City. His upbringing in the urban jungle of NYC and his fascination with sharp tools in his family's hardware store have been cited as the sources of his morbid fascination.
