William Yelton was born on August 6, 1993, in Wilmington, North Carolina, a small southern coastal town that was once affectionately referred to as the "Hollywood" of the East Coast. His parents, Sherri and Larry Yelton, and his younger sister, Lindsey Yelton, have all played a significant role in his life.
William's educational journey began at John T. Hoggard High School, where he graduated in 2012. He then went on to attend the prestigious University of Southern California, where he earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Film and Television Production in 2016.
Before pursuing his professional career, William started out as a teen actor in Wilmington, North Carolina. He appeared in numerous locally produced television shows and films, honing his skills and gaining valuable experience. In addition, he worked as an editor for various school video assignments, privately contracted productions, and personal online projects.
During his time at USC, William worked in every aspect of film production, with a particular focus on post-production and editing. This hands-on experience proved to be invaluable in preparing him for his future career.
In 2016, William landed his first professional position as a Post Production Video Logger on the hit television series SURVIVOR. He has since been employed as a Post Production Assistant for the series, a lifelong dream come true for William. He attributes his success to the unwavering support of his family and the University of Southern California, which provided him with the opportunity to pursue his passion.
