West Ramsey is a multifaceted individual with a passion for the arts, a knack for humor, and a deep appreciation for the great outdoors.
As an actor, West has had a diverse range of experiences, from his early days in high school productions to his current work in film and theater. His first onstage performance was as Colonel Harrison Howell in Kiss Me Kate, a role he took on during his senior year in high school. This marked the beginning of a long and fulfilling journey in the world of theater.
After high school, West went on to play a variety of characters in audience participation murder mysteries with Moonstruck Productions in Georgetown and Sacramento. His first role in a community theater production was as Charlie Brown in 'You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown' in Volcano, California in 1991. This role not only showcased his acting abilities but also introduced him to the world of community theater.
Throughout his career, West has performed in numerous theater productions throughout Sacramento and the Sierra Foothills, honing his craft and developing his skills as an actor. He has also had the opportunity to work with independent filmmakers, appearing in over 100 film projects to date.
In addition to his work as an actor, West is also a talented photographer. He enjoys taking production and publicity stills on set/location and for the stage, as well as at events and in nature. This creative outlet allows him to express himself in a different way and capture the beauty of the world around him.
Originally from Sacramento, California, West has been based out of Portland, Oregon since August 2013. He is a volunteer at the Clinton Street Theater, where Rocky Horror has screened since Saturday night since 1978.
