Wayne Virgo, a talented individual, was born on December 9th at Southmead Hospital in Bristol, and his formative years were spent in the quaint town of Yate, located 11 miles northeast of Bristol, surrounded by his parents and siblings. His foray into acting commenced at the tender age of 13 when he joined the Helen O'Grady Amateur Dramatics Group, marking the beginning of a lifelong passion.
As he progressed through his school years, acting became an integral part of his leisure activities, complemented by part-time jobs to hone his skills. This foundation laid the groundwork for his future pursuits. Wayne then enrolled in Filton College's S.W.A.D.A (South West Academy of Dramatic Arts),where he pursued a two-year course in performing arts, culminating in the attainment of a National Diploma.
Prior to graduating, Wayne had the opportunity to participate in a workshop led by Producer Christian Martin and Director Simon Pearce, which proved to be a pivotal moment in his career. He successfully auditioned for the lead role in his first feature film, Shank, and later co-starred in the movie Release alongside Daniel Brocklebank.
Throughout his journey, Wayne has continued to grow and develop as an actor, seizing opportunities to showcase his range. He landed the lead role in the sequel to Shank, Cal, and, in early 2014, he took on the character of Sam in the movie Beneath the Skin, marking a significant milestone as it was his first role requiring him to adopt a foreign accent, specifically a Canadian accent.
