Wayne Morgan is a 23-year veteran of the Federal Government, serving as the Secretary of the US Naval Academy Alumni Association for the State of Louisiana. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Law Enforcement with a minor in Forensic Science from Western Oregon University, where he was elected Vice-President of both the National Law Enforcement Honor Society and the Western Oregon Criminal Justice Club. Morgan is currently pursuing his Master's degree in Business Administration at Louisiana State University.
Born in Eugene, Oregon, Morgan joined the US Navy in the "Delayed Entry Program" while still in High School. He attended the Naval School of Health Sciences, Hospital Corpsman 'A' School in San Diego, earning the designation of Hospital Corpsman. Morgan's first duty station was the National Naval Medical Center in Maryland, where he worked in the pediatric acute care clinic.
After serving in the Navy, Morgan continued his education, attending Western Oregon University, George Mason University, Coastal Carolina University, and Lane Community College. He completed an internship with the Salem Police Department, resulting in part-time employment with the Salem Police Department Crime Lab. Morgan later became a Deputy Sheriff for the Polk County Sheriff's Office, graduating 2nd in his class while holding the leadership position of Squad Leader.
Morgan's Federal and Law Enforcement Career includes tours of duty for the Department of the Navy, the Department of the Army, the Pearl River Police Department, the US Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Department of Homeland Security, and the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He is currently serving as an Investigator for the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in New Orleans.
In addition to his Federal Career, Morgan has been actively involved in the Film Industry. He is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and a stuntman, having appeared in numerous films and television shows. Morgan is the founder and President of The HURD (Helping yoU Reach Dreams) Casting Network, LLC, a network that assists actors and others wanting to get involved in the Film Industry.
Morgan is also an Entrepreneur, having teamed with Entertainment Attorney Murray Roth to form Upperline Entertainment, LLC, which produces films and assists other production companies and studios with their film and television projects in Louisiana. He serves as President of Upperline Entertainment.
As an avid Public Speaker and Motivator, Morgan has been a guest lecturer at the University of New Orleans, Tulane University, and other Louisiana Schools. In his spare time, Morgan enjoys spending time with his four children, volunteering as a Football Coach, Baseball Coach, and Cub Scout Den Leader for his son and as a Softball Coach for his daughter.
Morgan is proud of the fact that all three of his daughters have graduated High School and have been admitted to Louisiana State University, where his oldest just graduated from Grad School and is now a teacher. His youngest daughter starts Louisiana State University in the Fall.
