Warren Bub's biography is a fascinating tale of transition and perseverance. Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, he still calls the city home. Warren's early life was marked by a passion for sports, with involvement in football, hockey, and baseball. His athletic pursuits led him to coaching, where he began his journey as Stat-Man for the Morris Park Lions Football Club in The Bronx. Over time, he progressed to Assistant Coach, then Head Coach, and eventually Vice President of the organization.
After coaching prestigious Catholic High Schools, Warren applied his skills to youth camps for the NFL and USA Football. However, he soon sought a new challenge, and after achieving financial stability, he began his second career in acting. Warren enrolled in acting classes at T. Schreiber Studios and later at H.B. Studios, where he studied under the guidance of Austin Pendleton.
To further hone his craft, Warren took personal one-on-one training with esteemed acting coaches Susan Pilar and Nico Hartos. He also participated in a Master Class with the legendary Chazz Palminteri. As he built his resume, Warren formed a new team that helped him secure appearances on popular TV shows such as Power Book II: Ghost, FBI, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and Orange is the New Black, with many more projects on the horizon.
Warren's biggest influence is his family, whom he credits with shaping his values and sense of identity. As he so aptly puts it, "Without family...Who are you?"
In addition to his extensive television career, Warren has also made a name for himself in the world of theatre. He has appeared opposite Tony Award-winning actor Len Cariou in the workshop production of George Eastman's play, Harry Townsend's Last Stand. Warren then went on to understudy Tony Award nominee Craig Bierko and David Lansbury in the full production at New York City Center, directed by Karen Carpenter.
Warren's theatre credits also include productions with The Renegade Theatre, Open Hydrant Theatre, and Zoom Theatre. Some of his notable roles include appearances in Lovers and Other Strangers, directed by Steven Van Zandt, and A Streetcar Named Desire, directed by Vincent Pastore. He has also appeared in multiple roles in the Off-Broadway phenomenon, My Big Gay Italian Wedding, as well as My Big Gay Italian Funeral.
Warren's impressive theatre resume also includes a Drama League Award nomination for his performance in The Mutilated, starring Mink Stole and Penny Arcade. He has worked with esteemed directors such as Sarah "Rosie" Rosenberg and Luis Cardenas, and has participated in workshops for various musicals, including Stonewall, A Rhapsody on Resistance, Guys & Dolls, and more.
