Born in the central region of Tochigi Prefecture, in a small town called Nogi Sakai, Wakana embarked on her professional journey as a gravure idol in the year 1995. As her career progressed, she began to transition into film acting, a move that was completed by the year 2002. However, she had to relinquish her birth name, Sakai Miyuki, due to another actress with the same name entering the industry around the same time.
Wakana paused her career in 2005 to deal with an autoimmune illness, but fortunately, she overcame the disease and made a triumphant return to the entertainment scene. Her subsequent roles included playing a geisha in the film "Maiko Haaaan!!!!" and the attractive stockinged cousin in "My Rainy Days". This talented individual has a creative side, as evidenced by her blog, where she expresses her thoughts and ideas. In her free time, Wakana enjoys engaging in activities such as basketball and dancing.
Her impressive resume includes commercials for prominent brands like Softbank, Asahi Brewery, and others. Wakana graduated from Koyama Minami High School and is currently signed to the reputable A-Team Agency.
