Born and nurtured in the vibrant city of Hong Kong, VV was immersed in the rich cultural heritage of traditional Chinese education from a young age. This formative experience laid the foundation for her future pursuits, as she went on to pursue higher education in the United States. In 1979, VV earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the prestigious Juilliard School, renowned for its rigorous academic programs and esteemed faculty. Building upon this artistic foundation, VV further refined her skills by pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree in film production from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Film School.
