Vladimir Jon Cubrt is a multifaceted creative force, excelling as a writer, film producer, and actor.
His debut project, Luba, earned widespread acclaim, taking home two Best Feature Awards and two Audience Choice For Best Feature Awards as it traversed eight international festivals.
As an actor, Vladimir has gained international recognition for his captivating portrayal of Garret Jacob Hobbs on NBC's hit series Hannibal, and has become a beloved fixture at "Fannibal" conventions across North America and Europe.
Throughout his career, Vladimir has appeared in an impressive array of television shows and films, including Designated Survivor; In Contempt; Covert Affairs; Hollywoodland; and Beauty & The Beast, among many others.
In 2018, Vladimir was featured in three films that premiered at prominent North American film festivals: Stockholm (Tribeca),Kodachrome (TIFF),and Luba (Cinequest and Michael Moore's Traverse City Film Festival).
His outstanding performance in Luba earned him a 2019 ACTRA Award nomination for Best Male Performance, for his nuanced portrayal of Donnie Marchuk, Luba's embattled ex-husband.
Prior to his success in the film industry, Vladimir founded stage production company Zocalo Toronto, where he wrote, produced, and starred in several original works between 2007 and 2012, including the dance-drama hybrid, The Weeping Salsa.
Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Vladimir began his artistic journey at Etobicoke School of the Arts before graduating from Ryerson University's theatre program.
