Upon his return from the Far East, Vince married his sweetheart, Ida Mae Saunsoci of Macy, Nebraska. The couple then relocated to Inglewood, California, where Vince secured a position with the Northrop Aircraft Corporation in the design division.
In the mid-fifties, Vince began his acting career, appearing in numerous television shows, commercials, motion pictures, and stage productions. He continued to work in the entertainment industry, often performing in children's educational programs in Omaha, Nebraska.
In 1978, Vince returned to Winnebago, where he dedicated his time to serving his community. He worked as an emergency medical technician and community health representative from 1980 to 1982.
Vince remained active in the acting world, even as he served his community. His dedication to his craft and his community did not go unnoticed, as he left behind a lasting legacy.
Sadly, Vince passed away on Sunday, March 16, 1997, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness. He was laid to rest at the Native American Church Cemetery in Winnebago, Nebraska, with full military honors.
