Vin Morreale, Jr. is a renowned author, screenwriter, and playwright with a prolific career spanning multiple mediums. His work has been recognized with numerous accolades, including being named to the International Screenwriter's Association's Top 25 Writers in 2017 and 2018, and The Blacklist's Top TV Writers, with thousands of writers considered.
As a playwright, Morreale has had his work produced internationally, with hundreds of productions worldwide, and translated into Italian, Russian, and Spanish. His stage plays have been featured in museum exhibits globally, and he has written, directed, and produced documentaries and educational videos, including the acclaimed PGA's Complete History of Golf and the Telly Award-winning Louisville Ballet's "Cinderella".
Morreale has also had success in television, selling material to network and cable TV, and having multiple screenplays optioned and produced. His romantic comedy, Breaking & Entering, held the record for the largest screening premiere in the Southeast, with 2,619 ticket holders and an $18,550.00 box office for a single showing at the historic Palace Theater.
In addition to his writing and production credits, Morreale has also acted as a casting director, placing thousands of actors in independent movies, TV, and stage productions. He has been a founding member of the San Francisco Playwrights Center and the Senseless Bickering Comedy Theatre, and has written three highly acclaimed acting resource books, including 300 Monologues, Two Character Chaos, and 150 Acting Scenes.
Morreale has also published multiple books, including three illustrated children's books, Mabel The Maple and Two Many Rules, and two collections of short fiction, Knowing When To Leave and Dark Wilderness & Other Stories. He was recently inducted into the Kentucky Film and Television Hall of Fame, and has received the prestigious Al Smith Writing Fellowship.
