Spanish actress began her journey by studying dance, with her instructor urging her to take part in her first film, "Obsesión", released in 1977. This initial foray into the world of cinema led to her being handpicked by acclaimed director Narciso Ibáñez Serrador to serve as one of the co-hostesses for the iconic Spanish television program "Un, dos, tres... responda otra vez", which catapulted her to widespread recognition across Spain. Since 1975, she has also appeared in numerous films in France and Italy, further expanding her global reach.
In Spain, she experienced her first major success with the 1980 film "Girl with the Golden Panties", directed by the renowned Vicente Aranda. Her impressive body of work has earned her two Best Actress Awards at the prestigious San Sebastián Film Festival, for her outstanding performances in "El Lute: Run for Your Life" (1987) and "Nobody Will Speak of Us When We're Dead" (1995). In 1991, she received the coveted Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival for her remarkable work in "Lovers: A True Story".
