Vic Micolucci is a Jacksonville native who attended Resurrection Catholic School, Paxon School for Advanced Studies, and the University of Florida's College of Journalism and Communications, where he graduated with Highest Honors.
Before joining News4Jax in May 2010, Vic worked as a reporter for ABC News "On Campus" in Gainesville, sports director for WUFT-TV, and reporter and host at the NPR-affiliate WUFT-FM.
He interned with Channel 4 and the Florida Times-Union during summer breaks while in college.
Vic's stories have been featured on ABC's Good Morning America and World News Tonight, various CNN and HLN programs, ESPN-U, National Public Radio's Morning Edition, and BBC Radio.
His work has been honored with a national William Randolph Hearst award and two regional Edward R. Murrow awards.
Vic was voted Jacksonville's Best Investigative Reporter in Folio Weekly's "Best of Jax" readers poll and was honored by The Buzz Magazine as Jacksonville's Top 30 Future Leaders Under 30.
He covered the 2008 and 2012 Presidential elections, the 2009 BCS National Championship, and the 2010 NFL Super Bowl.
Vic led WJXT's live coverage of the George Zimmerman trial and headlined both Michael Dunn trials gavel-to-gavel.
Vic's extensive work during the Dunn trial led to his appearance in the feature-length documentary "3 1/2 Minutes," the movie about the case and the life of teenager Jordan Davis.
Vic has traveled as far as Brazil for a story, where he documented poverty's impact on education.
He has also started a video journaling and production program for patients at Wolfson Children's Hospital and is on the Board of Directors with Jump For Kids, Inc. and The Broach School.
Vic is active with The Justice Coalition and mentors young men, and has been a Disc Jockey and emcee since before he had his driver's license.
In his free time, Vic enjoys performing at weddings, proms, and homecomings, and is an avid beach-goer, paddle boarder, and surfer.
