Veljko Bulajic

Veljko Bulajić, a renowned film director and writer, emerged into the world on March 23, 1928, in the picturesque village of Vilusi, nestled within the borders of Montenegro, a region that was then part of Yugoslavia. As he navigated the complexities of life, he developed a passion for the art of filmmaking, which would eventually become his lifelong pursuit. Bulajić's impressive body of work includes notable films such as Kozara, released in 1962, The Man to Kill, which premiered in 1979, and Vlak bez voznog reda, a 1959 production. Throughout his illustrious career, Bulajić's dedication to his craft earned him widespread recognition and acclaim. On a more personal note, he was married to the lovely Vlasta, and together they shared a life filled with love and adventure. Unfortunately, Bulajić's journey came to an end on April 2, 2024, when he passed away in Zagreb, Croatia, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire and entertain generations to come.
