Person Biography:
Valentina was born in 1968 in Bucharest, Romania, to a German mother, who was fortunate enough to escape Ceausescu's regime along with her family when Valentina was just nine years old. Growing up in a communist country, Valentina became a competitive swimmer, eventually leading her to the German championships. However, the pressure of daily training and competitions became too much, and her mother decided to stop her swimming career.
Valentina then began modeling to make a living and eventually moved to London, where she was snapped up by the prestigious agency Select. She quickly rose to the top of the modeling world, working in fashion capitals like Paris, Milan, and London. Despite her success, Valentina became bored with the industry and moved to Los Angeles, where she completed a course in interior design and continued to model.
However, Valentina's true passion was acting, which she had always wanted to pursue. She was encouraged by a photographer to audition for the prestigious acting school Cours Florent, where she won a scholarship and was admitted into the 2nd year of studies. Valentina continued to work in theatre, TV, and movies, eventually landing a leading role in the psychological comedy "Mortal Transfer" directed by Jean Jacques Beineix.
Valentina's personal life has also been marked by significant events. She had a daughter in 2001 with her former partner, and later fell in love with documentary director Christophe Maillet, with whom she had a son in 2008. She has continued to work in German and French TV productions, making a remarkable cameo appearance in the movie "Dinosaurier" and appearing in numerous stage productions.
Valentina considers herself a German actress, but also a genuinely European one, fluent in several languages and having lived in different countries.
