Valentina Carnelutti embarked on her acting career in Italy, commencing on stage as a young girl, and has since honed her craft in both theatre and film, collaborating with esteemed directors such as Marco Tullio, Giordana, Theo Angelopoulos, Paolo Virzì, Citto Maselli, and Angelo Orlando, among others.
Notably, she penned the screenplay for Sfiorarsi, a film released in Italy in 2006, and has also ventured into directing, creating the documentary Melkam Zena - Good News, which premiered in Ethiopia in 2012 and was produced by ActionAid, a humanitarian organization. Additionally, she crafted the video clip for Italian musician Francesco Tricarico's Le conseguenze dell'Ingenuità, a project that debuted in Italy in 2013.
In 2014, Valentina made her feature film debut with reCuiem, a critically acclaimed short film that garnered numerous awards at prominent Italian and international festivals. This cinematic endeavor was produced in conjunction with her own production company, FioreLeone, which she founded to support her creative endeavors.
Throughout her career, Valentina has demonstrated her linguistic versatility, effortlessly acting, writing, and working in five languages: Italian, English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. Her linguistic agility is a testament to her cosmopolitan upbringing, having spent her life traveling and residing in various countries around the world.
