Biography

Una Kavanagh is a multifaceted individual from Dublin, Ireland. She is a talented actress who has won numerous awards for her performances.

Her awards include the Best Actress Award for her role as Ma Taggart in "The Good Word" at The Underground Cinema Awards 2015 and the Best Actress Award for her role as Kate in "Voices" at The Underground Cinema Awards 2011.

Una has also been nominated for several prestigious awards, including the Golden Nymph Best Actress Award at the 2009 Golden Nymph Awards, Monte Carlo, Monaco, and the Rose d'Or for Best Soap Actress at the International Rose d'Or Awards, Lucerne, Switzerland.

In addition to her acting career, Una is also a visual artist. She has exhibited her work in various forms, including large installations, bronze sculpture, ceramic sculpture, oil on canvas, animation, mixed media, and drawings in pencil, pen & ink, oil and chalk pastel, wax, and bitumen.

Una has also worked on several projects as a writer, director, and producer. Her short film "Constance" premiered at The Cork International Film Festival in 2021. She has also created a multi-media solo exhibition called "Once Upon A Time" and has collaborated with ANU Productions on several award-winning performances.

Una is a founding company member and collaborator with ANU Productions, and has worked on several projects with the company, including "The Monto Cycle", "World's End Lane", "Laundry", and "VARDO". She has also collaborated with Performance Corporation on the production "Beautiful Dreamers" and with the Festival Of Curiosity on several projects.

In addition to her work in the arts, Una has also been involved in science art collaborations. She co-created and directed "That's About The Size Of It", a performance piece about 'What If?' moments in life, CERN, String Theory, and Dimensions, and became co-founder of TATSOI, a science art collaboration, in 2011.

Una has also made several short films, including "Turbulence" in 2011, and has been selected as Artist In Residence for Ireland Month at the International "Art By Country" Residency, Abu Dhabi Art Hub, in 2014 and 2019.

Her work includes "Mirari" film piece, "Fata Morgana" Performance Art, and large works - oil, bitumen, and copper on canvas. She has also collaborated with seven composers and classical musicians on a special edition print project, "Modern Irish Music".
