Biography

Ulrike Butz, the daughter of renowned television presenter Hermann Butz, spent her formative years in the picturesque Bavarian district of Miesbach. At the tender age of 17, she embarked on a journey of self-discovery, leaving her parental home to explore the vibrant culture of Southern Europe. However, her adventure was cut short when she found herself in Munich, where she began a career in nude modeling at a young age.

It was during this time that Ulrike first encountered drugs, which would later become a recurring theme in her life. Despite this, she continued to pursue her passion for acting, and in 1972, she started working in the German soft sex film industry, which was rapidly gaining popularity.

Between 1972 and 1974, Ulrike starred in an impressive 28 films, including the film series "The School Girls" and "The Miner's Wife... Takes Her Pick." She also appeared in pseudo-documentary report films such as "Nurses Report" and "Sex-Träume-Report." Her most challenging role was in the horror film "The Devil's Plaything," directed by Joseph W. Sarno.

With nearly 30 film roles under her belt, Ulrike was one of the busiest actresses in the industry, showcasing her impressive acting talent. In February 1974, she was featured in a photo spread for Playboy magazine, which further cemented her status as a prominent figure in the soft sex film industry.

However, her success was short-lived, as she soon found herself entangled in a web of drug addiction and bad company. Her father, desperate to rescue his daughter, financed several rehabilitation programs and even purchased a luxury apartment for her. Unfortunately, Ulrike's addiction proved to be a persistent struggle, and she was arrested multiple times for drug-related offenses.

In 1976, her father passed away, and Ulrike's addiction spiraled out of control. She was arrested again in 1979 for drug possession and served a prison sentence in Aichach. After undergoing rehabilitation, she worked as a waitress, began a romantic relationship, and had a son.

In 1981, Ulrike opened a costume shop in Munich's Neuhausen district using money from her father's inheritance. Although the business eventually went bankrupt, she continued to work in the sex film industry, appearing in two productions directed by Franz Marischka.

Ulrike Butz's life was marked by struggles with addiction and personal turmoil, but she also showed remarkable resilience and determination. She passed away at the age of 46 in Munich, and her urn grave is located at the Waldfriedhof.
