Tymon Brown is a multifaceted individual with a plethora of talents, including filmmaking, acting, education, and organization. He embarked on his career in 2006 by shooting and editing an investigative documentary in Palestine, which was a pivotal moment in his professional journey.
Subsequently, he delved into the world of underground music, capturing the essence of the scene in Westchester County, New York, through a series of documentaries. His creative endeavors did not stop there, as he went on to produce music videos for renowned artists such as Mitski, Porches, and Starchild, among others.
As the years progressed, Tymon's expertise in filmmaking continued to flourish. From 2009 onwards, he has directed, edited, and produced numerous short films, as well as edited multiple feature-length productions. His impressive portfolio is a testament to his dedication and passion for the craft.
In addition to his work in the film industry, Tymon has also held a leadership role at The Gravel Institute, serving as the head Director of Video Production from 2020 to 2022. During his tenure, he oversaw the production of dozens of prestige educational films, further solidifying his reputation as a skilled and accomplished filmmaker.
Tymon's commitment to nurturing and supporting emerging talent in the film community led him to co-found New Cinema Club in Brooklyn in 2017. This initiative has provided a platform for creatives to come together, share their work, and learn from one another.
Throughout his journey, Tymon has drawn inspiration from his alma mater, the SUNY Purchase Film Conservatory, where he honed his skills and laid the foundation for his future success.
