The acting bug bit Troy at the age of 17, when the Medical College of Georgia utilized his high school basketball team to film a commercial about sports medicine. He thoroughly enjoyed the experience and was fortunate enough to be a part of a major commercial that received heavy rotation for several years.
After completing high school, Troy teamed up with his cousin David Matthews to form the hip-hop duo "Cherokee". Together, they released the album "The Promise" under their own production company, Arrowhead Entertainment. Over the years, Troy has drawn upon his life experiences and talents to create a pathway of success for himself and others, continually reinventing himself and adding new layers to his career.
