Biography

Trevor Noah is a multifaceted South African creative talent, renowned for his exceptional skills as a comedian, television host, actor, and astute political commentator.

Born in Johannesburg, Noah embarked on his professional journey in South Africa in the year 2002. He held various hosting positions with the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) and, in 2008, was the runner-up in the fourth season of South Africa's adaptation of Strictly Come Dancing.

From 2010 to 2011, Noah served as the host of the late-night talk show Tonight with Trevor Noah, which he conceived and broadcast on M-Net and DStv.

In 2014, Noah took on the role of Senior International Correspondent for The Daily Show, and in 2015, he succeeded the long-standing host Jon Stewart. His autobiographical comedy book, Born a Crime, was published in 2016 to great acclaim.

Noah has also had the distinction of hosting the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards in 2021 and the 64th Annual Grammy Awards edition in 2022.

Throughout his illustrious career, Noah has garnered numerous accolades, including an MTV Africa Music Award and a Primetime Emmy Award from eleven nominations. He has been recognized as one of "The 35 Most Powerful People in New York Media" by The Hollywood Reporter in both 2017 and 2018. Furthermore, in 2018, Time magazine included him in its list of the hundred most influential people in the world.
