Trevor Mack, a renowned filmmaker from the Tsilhqot'in nation, hails from the interior of British Columbia, Canada. His upbringing by a single mother and family instilled in him a strong foundation for storytelling, which he skillfully conveys through his film work.
Mack's journey in the film industry began at the tender age of 17, when he co-founded a freelance video editing and motion graphics group called 'Viral Design'. The group secured lucrative contracts to produce promotional videos for prominent companies such as Red Bull, Gunnar Optiks, and Steelseries.
Fast-forward to 2013, when Mack made his directorial debut with his first short film, The Blanketing. The film gained widespread recognition, screening across North America and in New Zealand at esteemed festivals like the Vancouver Indigenous Media Arts Festival, Toronto Independent Film Festival, and imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival.
Mack's subsequent short film, Clouds of Autumn, premiered at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival in 2015. The film went on to captivate audiences at various film festivals, including the Vancouver International Film Festival, Ottawa International Film Festival, Whistler Film Festival, American Indian Film Festival, imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival, Tacoma Film Festival, and the Maoriland Film Festival. Clouds of Autumn received the coveted 'Best Canadian Short Drama' award at the imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival, solidifying Mack's reputation as a talented filmmaker.
