Trace Talbot, a talented actor, has recently completed his 17th film in supporting and lead roles, garnering significant attention from casting directors across the United States for film and television projects.
In 2023, he received an Honorable Mention for BEST ACTOR at the LA Independent Short Film Festival for his heartwarming portrayal of SAM, a neuro-diverse teen struggling to manage responsibilities, in the film TALK TO YOUR FISH.
Additionally, he was nominated for BEST ACTOR at the 2020 Manhattan Shorts World Wide Film Festival for his role as Josh in TWO LITTLE BOYS, competing against 971 films. The film later went viral on YouTube for its important message and shocking performances.
Trace also had the opportunity to play the lead in the video SUNDAY, which was chosen to be shown in previews for a month in 600 theaters nationwide.
Producers have praised him for being "down to earth" yet having an "undeniable sparkle" that commands attention on screen and in the editing room. Others have noted that he has a gift for quickly creating an emotional and realistic bond with his co-actors.
Directors often comment on his being the "can-do kid" on set, always willing to try new things to get the shot needed, and being "dependable" to a fault.
Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Trace began his acting career on theatrical stages in 2nd grade, eventually progressing to supporting and leading roles. He made a natural transition to dialogue-heavy roles, trusted with upwards of 250+ lines by the age of 11.
For four summers, he committed to acting training, working with various coaches for a minimum of 30 hours a week for six weeks. He was then picked up by a top Northern Cal kids agency, quickly booking several commercials, including favorites such as Volkswagen, Apple, Comcast/ Xfinity, EERO, and United Healthcare.
After working with The North Face for a year in print and fit modeling, he was selected to model their new teen line on the runway, but his desire for more challenging acting roles led him to pursue shorts, features, and TV projects.
He has held lead roles in several short films, including favorites such as TALK TO YOUR FISH, TWO LITTLE BOYS, GALAPAGOS, THE TEXT GENERATION, and SAUK CITY in 2022, showcasing his ability to portray a lovable kid with a dramatic and unique flair.
His notable feature films and roles include UNLEASHED (2016) as the water gun kid, APPARITION (2019) as the prison boy, SHUTOUT (2017) as the lead's son, WHITE TERROR (2018) as the boy next door, and ABIGAIL (2023) as the bully with southern charm gone wrong.
Simultaneously pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering at Cal Polytechnic University, Trace continues to explore TV projects and films, with a bright future ahead of him as an up-and-coming actor, represented by a reputable agency.
