Biography

Tony Perez was born Jose Anthony Perez, a testament to his rich cultural heritage, boasting a unique blend of Puerto Rican and Filipino ancestry. He spent his formative years in the sun-kissed city of San Diego, California, as well as in the picturesque state of Virginia, and later, on the iconic West 68th Street in Manhattan, New York City. Interestingly, his childhood neighborhood, which was later demolished, was immortalized in the classic 1961 movie West Side Story. His father, a proud veteran, served valiantly in the United States Navy during World War II. Perez is a multi-talented individual, with a passion for painting and writing poetry, some of which has been published for the world to appreciate. He has been blessed with a loving and supportive wife, Marie Gagne, whom he married on August 30, 1961. Together, they have a beautiful daughter, Linda Marie Lawrence, who has undoubtedly brought immense joy to their lives.
