Biography

Tony Kushner's remarkable play, "Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes", garnered him the prestigious Pulitzer Prize, as well as numerous other accolades. His impressive repertoire of acclaimed plays also includes "Slavs", a thought-provoking production, "Homebody/Kabul", a dramatic exploration of human experience, and "Caroline, or Change", a poignant and powerful work. Furthermore, Kushner has collaborated with renowned children's author and illustrator Maurice Sendak on several literary projects. In 2003, he exchanged vows with his long-time partner, Mark Harris, editor-at-large of Entertainment Weekly, marking a significant milestone as the first gay couple to be featured in The New York Times' "Vows" column.
