Tony is a highly acclaimed and accomplished filmmaker whose work has garnered numerous accolades and has been showcased at some of the most prestigious and respected film festivals globally, including those that qualify for Academy Award, Canadian Screen Award, BAFTA, and British Independent Film Award recognition.
These esteemed festivals include Fantasia, HollyShorts, and the sadly departed Edinburgh International Film Festival, where Tony's films have been met with critical acclaim and audience admiration.
Tony's debut feature, Whoops!, made a significant splash when it premiered at Raindance in 2013, and it was the only British film selected for the 2014 Raindance Tour, a testament to its exceptional quality and impact.
Since then, Tony has continued to hone their craft, working as the Video Producer for Young Thugs Records, and has been selected for the inaugural Future of Film Incubator, a program designed to nurture and support emerging talent in the film industry.
Most recently, Tony has brought their unique vision to the screen with an adaptation of 'Standing Woman', a thought-provoking and deeply moving work based on the acclaimed novel by internationally renowned author Yasutaka Tsutsui. This powerful and emotional film screened in competition at the esteemed Leeds International Film Festival in 2021 and is now available to stream on ALTER, a testament to Tony's continued growth and success as a filmmaker.
